• If you are having difficulty finding a match when doing your E-Snag.com search, be sure that you have selected the appropriate "male seeking female" or "female seeking male". The "Profile Photo" will be the main image seen when someone does a search or views your profile, select one of your favorites and change it regularly. This is the most asked question and yet in reality it should be the last question asked. These are huge expenses and they must be paid or E-Snag.com will not be here for its Native friends.
• Everyone who works expects and deserves to be paid for their knowledge, abilities and efforts. Should we be any different? Most respectable dating websites charge up to 10 times more for a membership than does E-Snag.com. Why do our members pay less? Because E-Snag.com requests a very minimal amount to keep E-Snag.com as affordable as possible for Native and Aboriginal people.
• Believe it or not, charging a minimal fee as E-Snag.com does, helps to filter out players, liars and cheats... those who are not seriously looking for a lifelong partner, but are playing the field and playing with people’s emotions. True, we cannot completely prevent this from happening, but our membership discourages many players from joining as they can easily go play on any of the free sites. I`ve heard E-Snag.com deletes a lot of profiles... is this true?

When E-Snag.com was created it was with the idea of a first class dating service for all Native and Aboriginal people, holding ourselves as well as our members to a high standard. So yes, we do refuse people and we do remove profiles for various reasons. One is age, all members must be 18 or older to join... those under 18 are immediately deleted. Liars, cheats, players and all around losers who refuse to respect the rules and rights of others are removed from our membership and asked to go elsewhere. The rules and policies of E-Snag.com where created to protect everyone, and those who show a lack of respect and cheat (or try to) are asked to make changes or be deleted. If an honest mistake has been made they will correct it and we will do our best to help them make the most of their membership. But for those who are dishonest, they are removed. This ultimately is a service to our honest, respectable members and helps E-Snag.com maintain a high standard for all.

How do I register

Registration on E-Snag.com is fast and easy. Just select the "Join" option from the main page and create a profile in a few easy steps and you are ready to go. Note that your "Login Name" will be the name all E-Snag.com members will see. Your "User Name" should be your real name and never made public.

Do I need to be registered to browse profiles

Browsing profiles requires you only register as a "Limited Member." However, in order to contact other members and have access to all E-Snag.com features, you need to join E-Snag.com as an "Exclusive Member.”

Why cant I contact other members?

Limited Members can review and browse E-Snag.com site and profiles. It is our way of allowing you to make sure E-Snag.com is right for you before you pay for your membership. Upgrading to an Exclusive Member is required in order to have access to all of E-Snag.com features.

What is a "Featured Profile"

The "Featured Profile" section is located in the top right corner of the Home Page and rotates photos of people who have taken the time and effort to fill out all the questions and write about themselves in their profile. The "Featured Profile" section is available only to Exclusive Members. In other words, we consider them serious in their attempts to find a personal match and we want to maximize their chances by featuring them on the home page. If you want to be considered for our "Featured Profile" section, be sure to upload a good image as your "Profile Photo".

What is "Match Alert"

Once a week we will send you an e-mail that will show who your matches are, based on how you responded in your profile questions. The "Match Alert" helps you to know who has recently signed up or who has recently completed their profile and to what extent they match you. This is a valuable tool in our assisting you in meet your match, so be VERY sure that you enter your e-mail address correctly and if you use AOL or Yahoo to add E-Snag.com and our e-mail address to your friends list so your Match Alert is not blocked! If you do not receive your Match Alert after 2 weeks, contact our customer support at customersupport@e-snag.com

I am having trouble making payment

If you have "pop-up" blocker software on your computer or if you use a provider that supplies "pop-up" blockers, you may need to configure that software to accept "pop-ups" from E-Snag.com in order to allow our payment page to open in a new browser window. The most common problem is with Internet Explorer. Open IE, click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options" and click on the tab "Privacy". Make sure the box is unchecked for "Block pop-ups". Other browsers will likely need to be configured to allow pop-ups as well.

How do I change my personal details such as username, password, e-mail address, age, birth date, sex?

Personal information such as this can easily be changed by logging into your profile and from the menu select "Account Settings" and then click on "Sign Up Information", enter your password for confirmation and then make your needed changes and click on "Continue" to save them.

Someone on E-Snag.com is bugging or harassing me, what can I do about it?

The best thing to do if and when you encounter such a situation is simply ignore them... 99% of the time they will soon leave you alone. You can delete any messages they send you via the E-Snag.com Mail system without opening them. If they send you a chat request, simply click on the "Ignore" button. By NOT responding to offending user (i.e., NOT giving them any attention, NOT letting them get a "rise" out of you), most people will simply go away. Annoying people get bored very fast when you dont allow them to bother you. If someone threatens you, contact law enforcement immediately. If you feel threatened, please also read our safety tips HERE. Please contact our customer service if someone fails to respect your request to be left alone. When someone contacts me, where does the message go and how do I respond

Once you have created your profile, Exclusive Members can start contacting you. E-Snag.com will notify you when you have messages waiting for you by sending a notice to your personal e-mail address. If you are already an Exclusive Member, then log in and pick up the messages at your personal site Inbox. The message Inbox is available only to Exclusive Members. Once you are an Exclusive Member, you can read all incoming messages, respond to the members who contacted you, and initiate contact with whomever you like. With your personal onsite e-mail, you’ll always remain anonymous and in control.

How does "Chat" work and is it safe to you

The "chat box" is a safe way to have a private conversation and do so without anyone knowing your real name, personal e-mail address or phone number. No personal info is available when using the "chat box" unless you provide it.

No, you don’t have to fill out any of the profile questions, but why wouldn’t you? They are there to help you share with others just who you are, what you like, etc. The more you tell about yourself the better chance you will have in finding that special someone who’s been looking for YOU!

I filled out the essay questions and when I tried to save them, E-Snag.com lost them!

This can happen when you take too long to complete your essay questions and the system sees you as being "idle" too long and disconnects you. There is an easy way to resolve this issue. Complete all of your profile and leave a short comment like "will do later" and then save your profile. Now go into Word and complete your essay questions/comments taking your time and using spell check when done. When you have it the way you like it, log back into your E-Snag.com profile and in the menu click on "Modify Profile" and then cut and paste your comments. If you have difficulty using your right click to paste, use the command on your keyboard Ctrl and the letter "v" to manually paste.
